Boston
An Historic Market Town
The Farm at Frithville is located just on the outskirts of the historic market town of Boston. There is a market in the town on Wednesdays and Saturdays with a variety of local stalls selling fresh produce from around the area. Among the attractions in Boston are: Maud Foster Windmill, The Guildhall Museum, Boston Stump Church, Savoy Cinema, Boston Bowl, Blackfriars Theatre as well as many bars, pubs and restaurants. You can even take a ride down the river Witham on the Boston Belle.
There is a train station in Boston, so you can get a train over to Skegness for a day-trip to the beach, or maybe a shopping day at Nottingham or Lincoln or even further afield, wherever you fancy.
Boston Bowl
Fun for All the Family
Boston Bowl has loads of family attractions. From games of 10-Pin bowling to Playtowers with slides and climbing, there’s plenty of fun for families and kids. There is a cafe for Mum and Dad whilst the kids are running off some energy or a Battle warehouse if you fancy a nerf gun battle! The bar often provides live entertainment on the weekends.
Sibsey 6-Sail Windmill
A Working Mill
Sibsey 6-Sail Windmill is only a 4 minute drive away. It’s well worth a visit to wander around, and have a nice cup of coffee and a cake in their cafe to round it off.
Skegness
A Classic Seaside Town
The seaside resort of Skegness is approximately a 35 minute drive away, with all the attractions a typical British seaside town offers; such as an award winning beach, amusement arcades and a donkey ride for the little ones. Be sure to bring your sun cream and towels for a wonderful day at the seaside!
Lincoln
Shopping, Sights & More!
The city of Lincoln is approximately a 50 minute drive away. A historic city with many sites to explore including Lincoln Castle and Lincoln Cathedral as well as a whole host of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes.
East Kirkby Aerodrome
For all Plane Enthusiasts
East Kirkby Aerodrome is around a 14 minute drive away, it’s a good day out and is home to the famous Lancaster Bomber. RAF Coningsby is not too far away either if you want to see aircraft in action.
Malcolm Arms Pub
A Bite to Eat and a Lovely Pint
Close by to The Farm, there is the Malcolm Arms, a pub with home cooked food made with fresh local produce. Family and dog friendly with events throughout the month. It’s roughly a 6-minute drive from us (or a 74 minute walk if you’re up for it!)
